A well graded climb from Jollies Pass Road to an exhilarating, steep, alpine downhill cross country trail. This is a Black run with a double black finish alternative if you choose to take it Otherwise stay on Mike's Mad Mile at the same grade.

This is a fairly easy trail although the change in track - gravel/river bed etc increases the challenge. It is easy to miss markers as the trail follows he river. The scenery is stunning.Sand fly repellant is worth carrying in the summer. From Hagens Hut to Top Hut the trail deteriorates and there are areas you are likely to need to hike. Although the trail is only 14.5Km to Top Hut allow ample time as the track is slow going. You can extend the ride by riding the gravel road from the highway especially if you intend to stay in one of the huts.

The first and only one of it’s kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Airtearoa is an almost 6km long action packed jump trail that will have your wheels leaving the ground more times than Richard Branson's jet.
