Mount Cook Village in the Mackenzie region is the official starting point of the iconic Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail, offering riding that takes you from the Southern Alps at Aoraki-Mt Cook National Park alongside stunning Lake Pukaki. The Mackenzie is emerging as a cycling mecca with 16 mountain bike trails catering to novice through advanced riders, and the area offers breathtaking alpine scenery with various difficulty levels. Advanced riders can tackle tracks at nearby Glentanner Station with expansive views of Aoraki and rugged valleys.
