Waitohu Track - The Darkside aka The Darkside Mountain Bike Trail

Ideal for full suspension bikes, there is a hard climb to the top of Mt Thompson (711m) followed by a chunky rock garden style descent all on 4WD tracks. On a dry fine day, this can be a fun ride Access through to this track runs through private farm land which the farmer kindly asks users to respect no access from the 1st of September though till Labour weekend in October due to lambing. This also includes descending down from Mt Thompson. Please respect this as and don't stuff it up for everyone else.
