Description
This is just a firebreak as the name suggests, but can be ridden as a super steep, super fast downhill track for advanced riders. Watch out as it extremely steep in some sections and there are loose rocks and big ruts down the whole track. Even the best riders should take it easy on the first ride to workout some good lines. Once you have this track dialed it can be a real rush and super fun. It also makes for a great loop if you head up Te Whiti Riser, then follow the ECNZ pylon road/track to the summit turn off, rider/push your bike to the lookout, take in the view while you catch your breath, then blast down the firebreak back to the bottom. On a beautiful day you are sure to come across walkers/runners up the firebrack so make sure you give them a holla to let them know you are coming through. There is plenty of room so everyone can stay happy. Just note you will also pass through the main Te Whiti Riser trial near the bottom so go slow and watch out.The track ends with a large steel gate which you can easily poke your bike through.
