This urban and river bush walk startsat the western end of Regan St andfollows the Patea River east. Once you reach King Edward Park, you will come across a selection ofalternate and additional side routeswhich are signposted: Carrington Walk, Three Bridges Trail, Clemow Walk, Western Loop. All of thetracks are similar but offer access todifferent vantage spots of the pointsof interest along the way. The track leads past the Mc Cullough Rhododendron Dell, whichhas contained hundreds ofrhododendrons since the 1960s, across farmland and over a few smallbridges where you may glimpsea brown trout. After crossing thehighway, you’ll find more beautifulgardens at Windsor Park and Thomson Arboretum. Beyond the Arboretum the walkwayfollows the Patea River as far as Victoria Rd.
