Starting from near start of Native track, the 44/11 track travels downhill through pine forest before passing a link to the start of Kaimai Kurla. It then continues to wind down through several flowing corners. There are some steep XXX chute options to the creek that are best ridden when dry. There is also a lower link option to cross over to Kaimai Kurla to mix it up or continue on the 44/11 by turning hard right. The track then joins up with the chute options and crosses the dry creek before exiting the forest. The track then climbs through scrub up a series of switch backs to the start of DH access track. It then carries on down a short fast downhill run with a number of sweeping turns down to the finish on Link Road.

From the main car park, enter the track on the topside of the grass reserve on the Morrinsville side. The Big Red track travels on a wide path through mature Redwoods near the road until you come to a split in the track. The Big Red track veers left at a sign and begins its downhill descent. The top track continues near the road until it intersects with the Dam road. Note: the top track is 2 way so care is required. You can also enter the Big Red from the other direction on the top track. Big Red zig zags across the hillside ducking a diving around huge redwood trees before exiting near the ford below the spillway.

Suitable for beginner riders and families. This track is a two way track starting near the end of the PD track (across the bridge) or on the other side of the spillway from the car park. UPDATE: Trail has changed to one direction only end of 2025, going clockwise around the lake. NOTE: It is a fairly wide track (1.2m) but does contain several blind corners requiring speed to be managed in case of oncoming riders and walkers. The track forms part of a circuit that circumnavigates the reservoir near the water’s edge allowing for many great views. A large part of the track is through mature native bush. Return to car park via the spillway bridge or the PD road or Kaimeleon track.

The entry for this track is in between the two fords at the top of the hill in the middle of the Two Timer track. It veers off into native bush and cuts across the side of a hill before dropping onto a plateau near the creek. The track winds around the native forest on a unbenched natural surface trail before heading around the creek bank and re-connecting to Two Timer near the second ford. The track is ‘naturally’ challenging.

A fast steep descent into the gully down a carpet lined drop, rip around a left-hand berm across a short bridge straight into a hard pinch climb back out of the gully. Riders have reported speeds of close on 50kph around the berm You'll drop back down into the gully again across a second bridge and follow the trail out before hooking around yet another bridge to climb up to the top again. Quite a fast and physical section or the trail - rewarding if you can keep momentum and legs spinning!
