Wairere Traverse North Mountain Bike Trail

Formally opened on 31 March 2016, the Wairere Traverse track is an 11km, sign-posted gravel track from Hicks Road on the northern side of the mountain to Pukeatua (Tari Road) on the southern side. This track is suitable for tramping groups, families and individuals to enjoy the now pristine and pest-free environment Maungatautari has to offer. Exploring the natural environment is a great way to get exercise and fresh air, and interact with friends and family - device free.
