Description
The is a tough trip but with great scenery. It does require a few km's of hike'a'bike though.From the Akatarawa Road saddle, the track follows a semi maintained 4WD track to Waiotauru Hut. After the hut the 4WD track turns into a narrow double track to the swing bridge. After the swing bridge it becomes tough, with lots of bike carrying and a couple of huge slips to negotiate.
