PROPOSED - Town Belt Cycleway - Missing Link Mountain Bike Trail

This trail is proposed and subject to change.This trail has not reached construction stage, there is a possibility that this could be part of a future advanced cycling network in and around Cambridge.There are plans for the Town Belt Cycleway to connect the Northern and Southern suburbs of Cambridge, through this "missing link." These plans have been delayed due to the pipe bridge reconstruction. Meetings with the local council included that there should be a cycle path on top of the new bridge as a vital link between the residential areas and the rest of the greenbelt. That was cancelled due to being too expensive and the new bridge was built to only withstand the weight of the pipe, and no path, therefore the "missing link" plans have been significantly delayed.
