Learn about Patea’s rich history andfollow the lower end of the Patea River through pastures and pineforest to several points of interestdating back to the 1860s. A series of signs containing historicphotographs and illustrationsfrom award-winning New Zealandbotanical artist Audrey Eagle tell thestories of the wool store wharf (B), Patea Port (C), Wai o Turi Marae(D), Dawsons Redoubt (E), Haere Hau Pa (F) and more.
