Description
This trail follows the old water pipe from the Korokoro dam. This is popular with walkers so be prepared to stop. In places it it is very narrow and some of those narrow places are wedged between cliff faces 4 - 5 meters above the streams on one side and cliff walls on the other. As of May 2016 some of the trail has been widened and slightly re routed due to the May 2015 floodsCornish Street ends at Cornish Street in Petone, at sea level. It may pay to park a car down here, otherwise you have to climb back up to where you left the car. The climbs are moderate in difficulty along sealed roads. The easiest is probably up Korokoro road.
