Mountain Bike Trails in Waharau
Waharau Regional Park is a scenic coastal trail system about an hour from central Auckland offering two main rides: the 14km Waharau Ridge Loop and the 18km Whakatawhi Ridge Route. The trails feature native forest, technical singletrack, and spectacular views over the Firth of Thames to Coromandel, combining 4WD tracks with challenge climbing and fast descents. Maintained by the Auckland MTB Club, these Grade 2-3 trails provide a rewarding adventure ride with dramatic coastal panoramas.
