Best Mountain Bike Trails in Royal Albany Trail
Once a premier XC trail system on the North Shore of Auckland, Royal Albany featured over 20km of tight, twisty singletrack through bush hidden within the urban landscape. Note: These trails were closed in February 2017 and remain unavailable to the public as they are located on Massey University property, though community efforts continue toward potential reopening.

Heads straight along the fenceline before doubling back on itself. After that gets tighter and twistier with plenty of ruts and mud holes forming in the wet. As of 2016 has had some repair work done to fill the worst of the holes with gravel, hopefully this will help it hold up a little better to rain.
