A Dogs Dinner

Technical trail with steep chutes and off camber sections, very difficult in the wet. Carrying speed is key over the natural rises. Makes for a good long run after linking with Primo all the way down to the bridge.

A Fine Grind

A Fine Grind is an uphill link trail for those who like a challenge and don’t want to ride the road. One little pinch climb towards the top but all rideable. Great loop for sessions down Geeez etc.

Alt Line

And Found

Motorbikes can only ride in Riverhead Forest at a sanctioned Waitemata Motorcycle ride. No riding at any other time. Typical Gyro trail with a few gnarly features, tight in places. Starts at Janis in the Wet - then you've found it - and exits at the bridge.

Anzac Loop Link

Anzac Loop To Diesel Switchbacks

Trail to/from Diesel Switchbacks, a few bridges and ruts etc from motorbikes to be expected.

Army Bridge Track

Aside Anzac

Motorbikes can only ride in Riverhead Forest at a sanctioned Waitemata Motorcycle ride. No riding at any other time. It's not that flat, some very large/deep ruts/mud bogs that must be avoided especially on mountain bikes, quite fast and flowy albeit a little pedally in places.

Baconator

Very steep and off camber sections with several large and difficult features, some very fast flowy sections here too, ending at a bridge then a fairly mellow trail to exit out to the road.

Barlow - Highview Crescent Link

Trail that connects across the forest.

Barlow Road Bypass

Motorbikes can only ride in Riverhead Forest at a sanctioned Waitemata Motorcycle ride. No riding at any other time. Single track bypass to avoid riding on Barlow Road - cos riding on roads is boring right?

Barlow Road To Joe's Bridge

Fast flowing trail with some surprise uphills and turns, runs roughly parallel to the gravel road and eventually ends on that gravel road.

Battle of Midway

Motorbikes can only ride in Riverhead Forest at a sanctioned Waitemata Motorcycle ride. No riding at any other time. Beautifully thought out trail, designed to give MTB riders an uphill route to the likes of Esses, Two Hoes, Ian's Knob etc. However, like all the trails in this forest, it is multi user and bi directional so ride with love and peace in your hearts bro :-)

Berm
