Best Mountain Bike Trails in Parihaka MTB Park
Parihaka MTB Park is a flow and gravity-styled destination just 5 minutes from Whangarei CBD, featuring gravity-oriented trails graded 3-5 built by skilled local builders. The park offers a mix of downhill flow trails, hand-cut singletrack, and the technical White Tail climbing route, with beginner options on lower trails. Open year-round with excellent facilities including parking, maps, and toilets, it's best ridden in summer months on its hard clay surface.

ACC can be accessed by either Bully or Link to Bully / Resurrection. Best access for a bit more speed into the trail is by making the effort to ride up to the top of Jpin. Acc is a single track that takes you to the bottom of the park. It has some small steps that are rollable. A rollover bridge that is man made is half way down the trail. (Bridge turns to your right) The trail eventually crosses White Tail (Keep an ear out for other riders). This is the most technical part of the trail as it is off camber and a lot steeper than the rest of the trail. There is a large berm to rail at the bottom then the trail flattens off to join onto the bottom of Jpin.
Extremely difficult
Big step down jumps, one really big and another beside it that is a bit smaller. Use extreme caution

Easiest trail returning down to the carpark area. Trail is mostly an easy Grade 2 with the exception of two steep-ish switchbacks that are Grade 3. Trail crosses over J-Pin, take care around this junction. Near the end you can either take a hard left and continue on a Grade 3 level track that runs back to White Tail, or carry on down to connect up to Hawk Eye to return to the carpark.
