Opened just a few years ago, and constantly receiving upgrades, Dean's Bank presents a fun, flowing single track trail ride for mountain bikers of all levels. The 11.5km, one-way loop starts at the council campground across the bridge from Albert Town. The track varies from open straights, to short (and somewhat challenging) switch-back climbs, and fun downhill sections with a few little obstacles/jumps (chicken lines available on everything though). The last few kms have a series of purpose-built, continuous flowing berms, which become more and more fun as you get to know the track better.Dean's Bank is also the venue for the 10hr Endurance Race, held every October. Check www.bikewanaka.org.nzDo not ride in winter if there has been a frost. If you want to ride at this time of year go first thing in morning before frost melts.
