Aongatete Long Loop Walk

A half-day tramp through the Aongatete lowland forest.

Aongatete Nature Trail

This family-friendly loop takes you through a lowland forest area. There are interpretative signs about the local environment.

Blue Lake Track

Enjoy native bush and quiet beaches. The track provides good opportunities to look out over the Blue Lake (Tikitapu) and Green Lake (Rotokakahi).

Crown Track to Dickey's Flat

Take this short walk through historic mining country through to the Dickey Flat Campsite.

Daly's Clearing Loop Track

A highlight along this track is the extensive groves of nīkau nestled under tall tawa, kohekohe and pukatea forest.

Hinehopu/Hongi's Track

This track highlights the area's incredible native forest and cultural importance. Beautiful beach at Korokitewao Bay (Lake Rotoiti) for swimming and picnicking.

Homunga Bay Track

The track winds around the coast from the northern end of Orokawa Bay. Take care along the coastline.

Isthmus Track

This track is dominated by the majestic Mount Tarawera.

Kaharoa Kōkako Track

Walk downhill through lush native forest to Onaia Stream. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for kōkako hopping through the forest canopy feeding or singing.
