Whakamaru to Dunham Reserve Mountain Bike Trail

Whakamaru Dam to Dunham Reserve/ Mi Camp- Mid point between Whakamaru and Atiamuri. Ride down the footpath from Whakamaru, and across the narrow footpath on the downstream side of the dam. Turn right across the road is the entry to the trail. Has a mix of forestry roads before settling into a dedicated track. Moderate climbs and downhills, but sticks fairly close to the lake. Breaks out to run alongside the road later in the trail. Back into some damp native bush toward the end of this section. This section breaks at Dunham Reserve / Mi Camp entry.
