Wairoa Bay Track Mountain Bike Trail

The WAIROA BAY TRACK provides a spectacularly scenic route from Tau Henare Drive down to Wairoa Bay and the Waitangi Mountain Bike Park entrance. The track is 2-way, surfaced, has amazing views and is a brilliant way to start any adventure in the park for any level of rider. Enjoy the ride up from town along the waterfront, over the Waitangi Bridge on Tau Henare Drive, through the golf course with magnificent views, then enjoy the descent on the WAIROA BAY TRACK, through shady native forest, with yet more stunning views. There is a stand of kauri tree towards the bottom of the track. To help prevent the spread of Kauri Dieback Disease please use the HYGIENE STATION as you ENTER the track. (It is not required as you exit the track). It only takes a few minutes to SCRUB, SPRAY, CHECK. Hang the front of your bike seat over the rail and use the brushes provided to brush of any loose dirt, check your work and then spray your tyres with the Sterigen provided. Enjoy these beautiful trees but please STAY ON THE TRACK
