Wairangi track Mountain Bike Trail

This track is re-establishing an old paper road that was last used in 1950. It has a number of technically challenging sections. Some narrow sections exists where trails were cut across slips. This isn't currently for the fainthearted. It is hoped to eventual create this track as a loop after further slips and slop are cleared to Wairangi station saddle.This track is not wet weather friendly and is best avoided when wet. This trail is currently an in and out trail. It is accessed from Tokomaru East Rd. We recommend parking at Brunswick hall which adds a nice 13.5km gravel road section each way.
