Description
Smokin is a classic and often underrated piece of Wellington single track. Expertly built by volunteers who made the most of the terrain, it flows and undulates down the hill at a nice consistent gradient. It's relatively wide, with no surprising features to catch you out and little exposure on the outside edge of the trail to distract you.As such it's one of the easier intermediate (grade 3) trails in the park. If you've mastered Koru and Lazy Fern and want to extend your ride, combine it with Sally Alley and Three Brothers to create a longer loop. Throughout 2022 and 2023 WCC Ranger Mark Kent has been progressively repairing and rebuilding sections of trail as part of the Council's on-going maintenance efforts.
