Description
The bottom two thirds or so of the trail traverse across grass fields and through pine forest. There are some roots and rocks to keep it interesting, and some steeper sections that will test your fitness going uphill.The tracks changes its tune closer to the top, where it becomes narrower, rockier, and quite exposed (suitable for advanced/confident riders).The trail is quite far from Christchurch, and sees little traffic. This adds to the experience, but come prepared with spare tubes, tools, and probably a riding buddy.
