Description

This track provides a nice alternative to the steep Hataitai to City track. Instead of heading straight up the hill, this track wanders up through the bush at a gentle gradient.About 0.1km up from the bottom the track crosses the Hinau Street spur of the Hataitai to City track. Just after a switchback the track divides into two paths the original track continues south to soon rejoin the Hataitai to City track, while a newer section turns north to continue gently climbing up to Alexandra Road.This is an excellent off road climb up to the summit when linked with Shuttle Cook and heading around the velodrome.
