By accessing or using OpenTrails, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
2. Description of service
OpenTrails is a mountain bike trail directory that provides trail information, maps, community reports, and related tools. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
3. User accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
4. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit to OpenTrails, including trail reports, photos, and reviews. By submitting content, you grant OpenTrails a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content as part of the service.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use OpenTrails to post false or misleading trail information, harass other users, upload malicious content, or violate any applicable laws. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.
6. Trail information disclaimer
Trail conditions, difficulty ratings, and other information on OpenTrails are provided for general guidance only. Conditions change frequently and may be inaccurate. Always exercise your own judgement and ride within your ability. OpenTrails is not liable for any injuries or damages resulting from your use of trail information.
7. Limitation of liability
OpenTrails is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenTrails shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
