Very much in the same flavor as neighboring Pavlova, this is a steep feral track through beech forest. Just as steep as Pavlova, but with a more purpose-built rather than natural feel, it's a shade lower in difficulty. But don't let the relatively mellow start fool you. Along with Year Gnar, Morepork, Topa Topa and Trickle Falls, this is one of Wellington's most demanding technical tracks. Only those with confidence, skill, and a good bike need apply.

A gentle amble through gums trees and regenerating native bush, this track provides a pleasant entry to the Wainuiomata Waterworks Recreation Area. The best way is to start at the car park on Reservoir road and head north up the gentle climb. There's a cool little swing bridge to cross before you loop back down the other side of the valley river. Look out for ruins of a house used by workers during construction of the reservoir dam. There are also picnic spots along the river. Watch kids near the bottom part of the track, just before the Wainuiomata Memorial Garden exit, as there is a narrow part of the track with cliff on one side.

Great trail with lots of turns into jumps into turns. The last past of the trail becomes very steep and requires good bike control while descending and corning. Unknown Trail Builders. It has been mentioned it is a joint effort between Wellington MTB and Wainuiomata Trail Park. But this is just speculation at this stage.
