Spicer Forest, located south of Rangituhi in Porirua's western hills, offers a growing network of trails including the popular 2.9km Spicer Link easy 2-way trail perfect for families and the Kiwi Cres Ascending trail with well-graded climbing and new entry points. The forest features mixed terrain through native bush, pine forest, and gum tree clearings with rolling grades and technical features. Trails can be muddy year-round, especially after rain.

kēmu o rua haurua - translating to "Game of two Halves".The top half is narrow, tight, twisty and traverses along the terrain under Turbine Road including two boardwalks. Once it reaches near the southern boundary the character changes to wide sweeping corners with jumps and rollers. The top half hand built, the bottom, digger dug. What half is your favourite?

Built by Porirua City Council, this shared use trail starts in Spicer Botanical Park, has a formal road crossing at Broken Hill Road, then climbs up to a termination high above Trash Palace. This trail will eventually connect directly to a new trail within the City of Wellington.It is a two way trail so you can walk/run/ride back down again.
