Mountain Bike Trails in Scotts Ferry
Scotts Ferry is currently closed to mountain biking, but the Manawatu region offers excellent alternatives including the Foxton MTB Trails at Target Reserve with sand-based tracks ideal for winter riding through mature pine forest, and Arapuke Forest Mountain Bike Park near Palmerston North featuring over 50km of trails across grades 2-6. The Manawatū Mountain Bike Club actively manages trail development and maintains a vibrant riding community.

There are marked trails through the pine forest. Follow the red arrows for the long course, with some short, punchy uphill sections, or the blue arrows for the short course which avoids most of these.
