Best Mountain Bike Trails in McHugh's Forest

McHughs Forest Park is a 43-hectare public recreational reserve on the edge of Darfield near Christchurch, featuring a mixed exotic conifer plantation with historic Douglas-fir trees established in 1893. The park offers beginner-friendly grade 1 flat walking and biking tracks through the forest, with the 2km McHugh's MTB Track suitable for riders of all levels, starting at the carpark on Horndon Street.
