Mountain Bike Trails in Matakana

The Matakana Coast Trail Trust is developing an ambitious 117km multi-purpose trail network from Pūhoi to Mangawhai in Auckland's fastest-growing Rodney region. The existing Matakana to Point Wells and Omaha Trail provides 8km of accessible riding, while the broader network will offer walking, cycling, mountain biking, and horse riding paths through outstanding natural landscapes. This developing destination represents a significant infrastructure project bringing diverse trail experiences to the Auckland region.
