This short trail gradually winds up the hill and along a water race, then descends back to the start and can be ridden in both directions. Mostly flat with some gentle climbs and flowing corners, with avoidable obstacles such as rocks and tree roots.

Sidles around the hillside with lots of grade reversals. Two steep switchbacks at the western end push the grade up to blue.Combined with the Undertaker it makes a good circuit of the lower part of the hill.

A useful addition to the Reservoir track. A small step up in technical difficulty. After a fast straight start it drops in a series of sweeping bends before climbing up some narrow single track to rejoin the Reservoir.

Usually ridden anticlockwise. Climbs gently for about 30 metres through some tight switchbacks, then follows a disused water race to the town reservoir (a big concrete tank). For the easy option turn left here for a superb fast descent with another couple of tight switchbacks to the start. For a slightly harder option continue past the reservoir on the Reservoir Extension.

Starts gently sweeping back and forth across a gully. As it descends the gully the crossings get steeper, so keep your speed up to roll up the other side. Finishes with a steady climb up 4 switchbacks to finish on the Reservoir Track close to the start.

A very pleasant ride in either direction. The first 100m are fairly steep if riding up, though still somewhat easier than the uphill part of Sandilands.

A useful access to the other Boot Hill tracks from Dunstan Road and the Otago Central Rail Trail. Starts on a vehicle track next to the Fulton Hogan yard, and passes by the Lions Community Garden before a gate into the single tracks. This segment is under development so the exact line may change.
