Waiuta is another mining ghost town and has several buildings and mining remains. More of a Grade 4 trail rather than Big River which is Grade 3, the Waiuta Trail is 99% ridable in the dry but in the wet is much harder (hence the Black Diamond grading here).Big River - Waiuta is technical benched single track that continues on from the end of the Big River 4WD track. Expect to experience a challenging range of surfaces from mud and corduroy to mixed flowing sections and smooth, gentle downhill.
